The Gum Ball embraces as much art and extracurricular activities as possible. All our workshops and activites can be seen on our INFO page.
-

The Gum Ball is a licensed festival. Though despite the fact we have a super awesome bar full of great booze and lots of tasty food stalls, at this festival you can bring your own food and drinks.
Truth be told its becoming difficult to continue, mainly due to the amount of excessive waste it produces. So please take note of our policies.
Please know and respect our biggest rule, GLASS IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. Please do not bring any form of glass into the festival. Basically this is the bush and broken glass does not breakdown, your one slip up can cause long term grief for not only children and animals, but perhaps even your own face.
-
1 x carton of canned beer OR 1 x decantered bottle of spirits/wine in a plastic bottle allowed into the campground per person. GLASS IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.
6 x drinks allowed into the arena per person at a time.
-
No, we don’t sell ice at the festival. The nearest town is Branxton, approx 10 min drive. Best to stock up before arriving.
-
Yes.There will be water fountains positioned in key locations and with so many festival goers over the weekend, it would be best if you brought your own water as we operate on tank water.
We do not sell plastic bottled water at the festival. Please bring a refillable drinking bottle and refill as required.
Caravan and campers, please bring your own water, we do not have the means to provide you filling your tanks.
-
All vehicles will be searched by our security staff on the way through Dashville’s main gate.
*Please keep in mind our number one rule: NO GLASS.
Any glass found will be confiscated. -
The Dashville campground is essentially a walk-in campsite meaning, if you wish to drive any vehicle into the campground, you must purchase a vehicle pass. There are several different types of passes depending on your set up and this info can be found just a little further down from the drop down menu.
There will be free day parking available outside the festival site but still on the property.
*ALL FESTIVAL TICKETS COME WITH OPTIONAL CAMPING*
It is your choice whether to camp or not.
It doesn’t cost extra to camp nor is there a discount if you choose not to camp. The campground is located directly outside and around the arena, so it’s a simple case of walking from your campsite through the gate and into the arena. At worst case, this could be up to 200m if you're camped at the extremity of the campground.
CAMPING - You are allowed to bring whatever camp set up that suits your group or person, including large bell tents, though we ask that you consider not taking up too much space if it is not necessary.
VANS OVER 20ft - need to be registered to ensure suitable space is available. If you have a large van, and would like to camp with non-large-van-pals, we'll do our best to keep you together but can't guarantee this (best to arrive together).
To register, PLEASE CLICK HERE.GLAMPING - We also offer boutique style accomodation as an optional extra, provided by the good people at Belle Glamping.
CLICK HERE for bookings and further info. -
The campground is expansive but is at the mercy of the natural vegetation and at the last couple of festivals, there were some issues with caravans acquiring excessive space (which in turn eats into the space of those with a more humble set up).
Caravans are restricted to certain areas of the campground. For this reason, please ensure you follow directions provided on arrival.
For more information, please read the Car, Van, Trailer & Caravan Passes info below.
-
Due to an increase in the size of camping set ups, which affects our campground capacity, we have had to update our ticketing to now include car and trailer passes. All tickets still include the option to camp, but it is essentially a walk-in camp set up unless you pre-purchase a pass. The various passes cover everything from car, van, caravan and trailer.
Caravans & Campervans over 20ft - need to be registered to ensure suitable space is available. These are limited in number to allow us to control the amount of caravans into the site and better facilitate space requirements for all.
There will be free day parking available outside the festival site but still on the property, there will be a question at the end of the check out process which lets us know you need a car space in the free day parking area.If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us before booking.
Passes available on the Humanitix website where you purchase your festival tickets.
-
If you want to camp with mates, we recommend arriving together or as closely together as possible. Reserving space can get tricky, as we have a lot of campers to fit in. It's definitely best to arrive when gates open to get the best spot.
-
Yes, but you must purchase a vehicle pass to drive into the festival site. )Please see Car, Van, Trailer & Caravan Passes info above)

-
You are allowed to bring gas bottles, but only if they are in service date (keeping in mind we have amazing food stalls including coffee, so you probably don't really need one). We will have to confiscate gas bottles at the gate that are not within their service date.
-
No personal fires in the campground. Do not bring firewood. We are bound by State fire restrictions, and the campground and surrounding areas are very much dense bushland. We generally have communal fires inside the arena, which you are welcome to sit around until 3am... if that helps.
-
As The Gum Ball is a celebration of music and culture, campers will inevitably throw on some tunes in their respective camp areas. We simply ask that you be respectful and kill the volume at a reasonable hour.
At midnight, when the festival’s live music finishes, there should not be any music played in the campground.
For those that like to party late, head on over to the Silent Disco from 12am

Small generators are permitted but please be respectful of your fellow patrons in regards to noise. Switch off the genny when others are trying to sleep.
